A great mountain bike does more than just get a child from A to B — it builds confidence, encourages outdoor adventure, and gives young riders the freedom to explore trails, parks, and rougher terrain that a standard bike simply can't handle. At Elite Store, our UK mountain bikes collection focuses on junior and children's models from trusted cycling brands, selected for frame durability, age-appropriate geometry, and the kind of robust build that survives everything a determined young rider can throw at it. If you're looking for a bike that grows with your child's ability and keeps up with their ambitions, you're in the right place.
Our mountain bike range is built around junior riders at different stages — from first off-road bikes with wider tyres and basic gearing, through to more capable trail bikes with multi-speed drivetrains and front suspension suited to older, more experienced riders. The Falcon Cobalt Junior Mountain Bike 20" Wheel is a standout in this collection — offering a reliable, trail-ready build with an 11" frame sized specifically for children making the transition from smaller bikes to more serious off-road riding. If you're also looking at road-style or character bikes for younger children, our kids' bikes collection covers a broader range of options by age and wheel size, and our bike accessories range has helmets, locks, and add-ons to complete the setup safely.
Every mountain bike we stock is chosen with child safety and structural quality in mind — frame integrity, brake reach, gear indexing, and tyre width are all factors we consider before listing a product, because a poorly built junior bike isn't just frustrating, it's a safety risk. Our listings include full specifications including wheel size, recommended rider height, frame material, and number of gears — so you can match the right bike to the right child with confidence rather than guesswork. Our Mountain Bikes collection sits within our wider Bikes, Scooters & Accessories range, which covers everything from first balance bikes to scooters for younger children — all part of our broader Sports section designed for active families. If your child isn't quite ready for a mountain bike yet, our scooters and rockers range is a great starting point for younger riders building their balance and confidence outdoors.
